Body Slamming Thursday!
July 10th 2009 14:45
Last night from 7:00pm to 12:00am the television airwaves was full of wrestling. 7:00-8:00 was a special showing of ECW on the SyFy network. From 8:00pm-9:00pm the WWE Superstars show was broadcasted on WGN. From 9:00pm-11:00pm TNA Wrestling had their week episode of iMPACT! on Spike TV. And from 11:00pm-12:00am WWE Superstars was broadcasted again on WGN.
ECW was decent. Shelton Benjamin/Yoshi Tatsu was easily the ECW match of the night. The Tommy Dreamer segment was okay and Kozlov/Christian match was passable. Outside of some of R-Truth’s match I didn’t watch Superstars. I’m sorry, Chavo Guerrero wrestling Hornswoggle, didn’t appeal to me.
Finally, there was TNA iMPACT! I watch iMPACT! on a weekly basis. Sometimes the show is good, other times its horrible. This week’s show was just decent. One of the highlights has to be Don West’s commentary. Back before his “heel turn”, Don West was the worst wrestling announcer out there. Now he is one of the best providing for some hilarious lines throughout the show.
Overall the wrestling on last night wasn’t anything too special. If you missed ECW, WWE Superstars, or iMPACT! don’t worry, you have probably seen better.
