Wrestlemania Preview: Money in the Bank Ladder Match
March 12th 2010 21:53
At Wrestlemania 21 the first Money in the Bank ladder match was held. In a short time the Money in the Bank ladder match became an anticipated Wrestlemania tradition. The bout has helped to push the careers of Edge, CM Punk, and Rob Van Dam to the next level. This year eight superstars will participate in the Money in the Bank ladder match in hopes of taking their careers to the next level. This year’s participants include Christian, Kane, Evan Bourne, MVP, Dolph Ziegler, Shelton Benjamin, Jack Swagger, and Matt Hardy.
Realistically, I can only see two of these individuals ascending the ladder to obtain the Money in the Bank briefcase; Christian and Jack Swagger. While in TNA, Christian proved he has the talent needed to be heavyweight champion, especially when heel. Jack Swagger, while young, oozes all sorts of potential. I would be very surprised if Jack Swagger doesn’t become a future WWE or World Champion. Jack Swagger has the deadly combination of athleticism and looks, which will make him a star. With his cocky smile, Jack Swagger would make a perfect heel champion.
Matt Hardy and Kane are established veterans, who while good for midcard matches, will likely never see the light of day as main attractions. Dolph Ziegler and MVP need more experience in the ring before being credible enough to carry the Money in the Bank briefcase. I’m guessing Shelton Benjamin and Evan Bourne are in the match so they can provide many awe-inspiring spots. Overall, the Money in the Bank match should supply some great action on March 28th in Phoenix, Arizona.
