What is your extreme sport of choice?
Over the last few weeks writing this blog I’ve shared a little of the extreme pastimes I like to indulge in. I don’t exactly do them to the extreme, but it still gives me a little buzz everytime I’m cruising down the street on my downhill board, carving down a snow covered mountains or riding small waves on a long-board. Note I have never said that I am any good, just that I try
I have bungee jumped off a crane once, which got the heart trying to burst through my outer flesh like Alien. Being the idiot I am it’s probably worth noting here that I’m actually scared of extreme heights yet also dig on diving from cliffs into the water and jumping off bridges.
I used to mountain bike/BMX and jump things on it but like many of the others listed above find it’s hard to find the time and energy to do them as often as Id like, if at all anymore. Except for driving, there’s always driving!
The fear of pain actually becomes a factor too the older you get. Sometimes fighting that gut instinct that these things I do for pleasure are unnecessary risks is a bigger challenge than the stunt.
Now onto the wish list, because common sense has never been my gnarly barrel anyway, always wanted to jump out of a plane but haven’t worked up the courage…yet. Have a must fill yearning to attempt hang gliding.
The biggest rush of all for me would have to be launching into orbit, breaking the stratosphere and travelling into outer place…a natural high for sure!
So what is your ultimate buzz be?

Skydiving seems almost like an essential rite of passage for me, I must do it in order to feel the extreme buzz.

Another that has crossed over and experienced teh terminal velocity of skydiving...maybe its tiem for me to take the leap!
