Vickie Guerrero

“Excuse me! Excuse me!” The sound of Vickie Guerrero’s shrilled voice repeating these two words use to motivate me to change the channel. Last night though, while watching Raw I found myself thinking “Yes, yes!” when Vickie Guerrero interrupted the broadcast in her typical fashion. Obviously sometime in the past year or so something changed to enable my opinion on Vickie Guerrero to turn 180 degrees.
Intrigued by my now apparent fondness for “Latino Heat’s” better half I reflected back on why this subtle transition occurred. I came up with one word, moderation. Vickie Guerrero’s “Excuse me! Excuse me!” gimmick works best in moderation. As the business consultant for Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger Guerrero gets just enough airtime to showcase her skills without becoming overexposed the way her role as a Smackdown executive overexposed her, and I’m not talking about that time Beth Phoenix ripped off Vickie’s pants.
Overexposure jeopardizes many careers in professional wrestling. Heck, I’m a huge CM Punk fan but I have to admit his “pipe bomb” personality lost some momentum when the announcers and other WWE personnel started overexposing the term “pipe bomb.” The shtick makes the WWE seem like they are trying too hard to turn “The Straight Edge Superstar” controversial. Anyways, that’s a topic to discuss another day. For now I just want to conclude by stating as long as the WWE keeps Vickie Guerrero’s airtime moderated, the late Eddie Guerrero can look down on his “Mamacita” beaming with pride.
