TNA Top 10 Matches: Chris Harris vs. James Storm Sacrifice 2007
June 4th 2012 06:21
Before Beer Money and Robert Roode, “Cowboy” James Storm ruled TNA’s tag scene with America’s Most Wanted partner Chris Harris. AMW welcomed all challengers, albeit Triple X, Team Canada, The Naturals, or some other duo. Basically James Storm and Chris Harris served as the foundation to TNA’s tag team division.
Therefore when Storm and Harris broke up in 2007 the resulting feud proved significant. The fact fans would never again hear the words “We find the defendants guilty” over the speakers at the Impact Zone seemed hard to fathom. Yet that appeared the case when Storm broke up AMW, taking out Harris via a beer bottle to the eye.
TNA showed some brilliance eliminating Harris from action to delay the much anticipated breakup feud. Yes, admittedly I think most fans wish to forget the blindfold match between Storm and a returning Harris at Lockdown 2007.
James Storm and Chris Harris enabled TNA fans to do exactly that the following month at Sacrifice when the two faced off in an extremely memorable Texas Death Match. The violence the two grapplers displayed really felt like the culmination of an intensely heated feud. As a result, Chris Harris and James Storm’s Texas Death Match at Sacrifice 2007 easily ranks in at number three on my TNA Top 10 Matches list.
