TNA Knockouts

I write a column, entitled The Hardcore Truth, for www.tnawrestlingnews.com. On more than one occasion in my column I have praised TNA for their women’s division. I never have been a big fan of women’s wrestling though. The only WWE diva I’ve really liked is Trish Stratus. During a diva’s match I usually channel surf or go to the kitchen for a snack. In 2007 when TNA implemented their Knockouts division, I figured the division would be just like the WWE Women’s division. Boy; was I wrong!
The Knockouts division came out of the gate strong with the threesome of Gail Kim, ODB, and Awesome Kong. When Gail Kim resigned with the WWE, the Knockouts division started to suffer. Pretty soon the TNA Knockouts division was just as bad as the WWE Women’s division. However, over the past couple of months TNA has drastically improved the division by crowning a new champion and signing new talent.
Angelina Love is doing a tremendous job as Knockouts Champion. Love as champion has opened up the division to fresh feuds. Another upgrade the Knockouts division has received is fresh faces. Victoria (now known as Tara) has proved to be a solid Knockout, both in the ring and on the microphone. Daffney, “The Future Legend” Alissa Flash, and Sarita are all exciting to watch too. Right now TNA has a great mix of women making the Knockouts division, once again, the superior women’s division in wrestling.
