I have to hand it to the writers of ECW; they sure had me fooled. After William Regal and Kozlov attacked Tommy Dreamer last night I was racking my brain thinking of who Christian would enlist as his partner. I finally realized Christian’s partner would be Ezekiel Jackson. I was kicking myself for not realizing this sooner. After all, the WWE has been building Ezekiel Jackson versus Vladmir Kozlov for weeks. Or so I thought.
Ezekiel Jackson attacking Christian and joining forces with William Regal and Vladmir Kozlov was completely unexpected. Unexpected turns are overdone in wrestling and don’t often work. However, this one did. With the musclemen by his side I’m predicting William Regal will win the ECW Title at Summerslam and start dominating the ECW brand. Regal’s biggest challengers will be the duo of Christian and Tommy Dreamer. The numbers game will leave the duo victims of William Regal and company week after week.
I think this will provide the perfect opportunity for one of unproven ECW wrestlers to step up, and begin their ascend to stardom, by neutralizing the numbers game. Possible candidates for this role would be Tyler Reks and Yoshi Tatsu.
