The Rock and John Cena Overshadowing The Miz?
March 2nd 2011 21:04
Dwayne Johnson, better known to wrestling fans as The Rock, returned to Raw two weeks ago electrifying the WWE Universe in a way only the “People’s Champion” can. The Rock took aim at both WWE Champion The Miz and fan favorite John Cena. The Miz and John Cena each responded to The Rock’s comments last week. The Rock appeared via video feed this week to once again address the two wrestlers, well actually John Cena.
The Rock mocked John Cena’s Dr. of Thuganomics rebuttal before launching into defensive mode, refuting Cena’s accusations The Rock turned his back on the wrestling industry for Hollywood. He even warned Cena that the “pie eating, jabroni beating” superstar would confront the current WWE fan favorite face to face sooner than the WWE Universe might think.
The fact The Rock didn’t take any time to address The Miz’s rebuttal bothers me. The Miz, the WWE Champion and the man who will headline the grandest stage of them all with John Cena, could become overshadowed by The Rock and John Cena’s verbal spat. I’m not ready to push the panic button yet though. The Miz could easily come out next Monday and shoot off his mouth about how The Rock didn’t comment on The Miz’s rebuttal because The Rock knows The Miz speaks the truth. This could leave The Rock to explain he didn’t mention The Miz because The Rock’s issues with John Cena were more personal but now that The Miz started blabbing, the WWE Champion is back on “The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment Today’s” radar.
