Gregory Iron to Petition for 2012 Royal Rumble Spot
November 10th 2011 21:05
Perhaps inspired by Zack Ryder’s online petition for a title match against United States Champion Dolph Ziggler or perhaps not, local Cleveland area wrestler “The Handicap Hero” Gregory Iron recently announced his intentions to petition online for a spot in the 2012 Royal Rumble (see here). You may recognize Iron’s name for he received national attention this past summer after “The Straight Edge Superstar” CM Punk crashed an independent wrestling show in Chicago to praise “The Handicap Hero.”
The fanfare for Gregory Iron stems from the fact he became a professional wrestler despite having cerebral palsy. To learn about the disability read my e-How Health article “Introduction of Cerebral Palsy.” Iron’s cerebral palsy affects his right arm. “The Handicap Hero” grew up loving wrestling, specifically WWE, and dreamed about one day working in the industry. He didn’t consider actually wrestling until he saw cancer survivor Zack Gowen compete inside a WWE ring with only one leg. For more about “The Handicap Hero,” checkout my article “Inspirational Profile: Gregory Iron.”
During my interview with Gregory Iron his passion to work in the WWE, even for just one night, proved clearly evident. I believe starting an online petition for a spot in the 2012 Royal Rumble is a great idea and I plan to share here at Seek Extreme how you can support the petition when “The Handicap Hero” reveals the details. So, stay tuned!
