The BFG Series Leaderboard
August 17th 2011 06:00
The Bound for Glory (BFG) Series continues strong as we inch closer to No Surrender and the BFG Series finals Sunday, September 11th. The top four point getters will compete at No Surrender to determine who will challenge for the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory 2011. The top four currently looks like this-
1. Crimson 50 pts.
When the BFG Series started in June Crimson entered a favorite. In his young TNA career Crimson remains undefeated (never pinned or submitted). Even when the odds don’t look good for Crimson the young grappler finds a way to prevail. For instance, last week on Impact Wrestling Immortal stacked the odds against Crimson in a four way match but Crimson still escaped with the match’s seven points.
2. Bully Ray 42 pts.
Splitting from Devon launched Bully Ray’s career to a whole new level. Bully Ray first captured people’s attention when he power-bombed AJ Styles off the entrance stage back in April. To anyone who doubted Bully Ray could survive as a singles star, the BFG Series silences those doubts. Proving a viable threat, Bully Ray currently resides as Immortal’s best chance to win the BFG Series.
3. Robert Roode 35pts.
Robert Roode entered the BFG Series while recovering from a nagging shoulder injury, placing him at an inherit disadvantage. This showed early on as Roode struggled to obtain many points. However, lately the financial power behind Beer Money experienced an increase in value. By propelling himself to the third spot on the BFG Series leaderboard Robert Roode lets fans know he is more than just a tag team wrestler.
4. James Storm 33 pts.
Like his Beer Money tag team partner Robert Roode, James Storm aims to use the BFG Series to prove James Storm can be a singles star. An interesting dynamic will develop if Storm and Roode can both keep pace and qualify for the BFG Series finals at No Surrender. Will the two team up to wear down their opponents or will tension mount between the two?
Runners Up
Both Devon (30 pts.) and Gunner (28 pts.) need just one pinfall victory or submission to enter the top four.
