Tonight at TNA Hardcore Justice Kurt Angle challenges Sting for the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Title. This past Thursday on Impact Wrestling TNA revisited Kurt Angle and Sting’s Empty Arena Match from February 2009. With this post we travel a little further back in time to October 2007 when Sting challenged Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory.
Bound for Glory emanated from Atlanta, GA. Atlanta proves significant for both competitors. Sting established his legacy as “The Icon” wrestling for WCW, a company based out of Atlanta. This turned Bound for Glory 2007 into a homecoming for the Stinger. On the other hand Kurt Angle won his Olympic Gold Medal in 1996 in Atlanta, GA.
