Best of the Decade- The Motor City Machine Guns
December 7th 2009 16:31
When I started with the “Best of the Decade” posts I had a list of which wrestlers, what matches, and what specific events I would be highlighting. The Motor City Machine Guns were not on this list but after watching “TNA Second 2 None: World’s Toughest Tag Teams” I knew I had to highlight the Motor City Machine Guns as the “Best of the Decade”.
The fact that the Motor City Machine Guns didn’t come to the forefront of my mind when thinking about the best of this past decade illustrates how criminally underused Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley have a natural chemistry together which makes them so entertaining. Outside the ring the duo are very entertaining, especially Alex Shelley. Inside the ring there are no words to describe the talent of the Motor City Machine Guns. Part of what makes the Motor City Machine Guns so great is they can put together a good match with pretty much anyone. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley work well with power teams like Team 3D and speed teams like Lethal Consequences.
Since being paired together the Motor City Machine Guns have wavered back and forth between being pushed and spending time in the TNA dog house. As number one contenders for the tag team titles the Motor City Machine Guns look to be entitled to another push. Hopefully this push will last and we will get to see a lot more of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in the next decade.
